Nichrome wire is an easy forming Nickel Chromium Alloy that is often used for heating elements. This 30 ga wire is approximately 0.01″ in diameter and perfect to use for cutting balloon train lines with our cutdown device. This spool is about 1/8 lb. and has approximately 445 ft of wire on it – enough to last many many flights or make giant heating elements! The wire will hold until 1800 degrees Fahrenheit and has a resistance of 6.75 ohms/ft.
